Low-cost GHG measurements

Main content start

With rapid advances in remote sensing and data techniques, ground-truth field measurement remains one of the standing challenges to earth sciences. In our group, we develop electronics and hardware low-cost scalable sensor platforms to bridge this gap. We are currently working on gas flux chambers by repurposing low-cost industrial sensors for environmental concentrations. We hope to use apply these chambers for upscaling in agriculture, peatlands, permafrost, and other natural wetlands. We also collaborate with Debbie Senesky’s XLab group on sensor technology for trace concentration greenhouse gas detection.
